1. Information We Collect
World Capital Cities Trivia (“the App”, “we”, “us”) may collect:
- A randomly generated player identifier used to associate gameplay and leaderboard progress with your device.
- Your display name and gameplay statistics, including scores, accuracy, rankings, Daily Challenge attempts, map-pin guesses, response times, clues used, and completion dates.
- Device and usage information, including device model, operating system, App version, language, IP-derived approximate location, screen views, gameplay interactions, and session information.
- Crash, error, and performance diagnostic information.
- If you use Sign in with Apple, an Apple-provided account identifier and, where Apple provides them, your name or email address.
- When interactive maps load, network and device information, map requests, and de-identified usage telemetry may be processed by Mapbox.
Daily Challenge map-pin coordinates represent your answer in the game. The App does not use your device’s physical location.
2. How We Use Information
We use this information to:
- Operate the App and its gameplay features.
- Provide interactive maps and map content.
- Save scores and Daily Challenge progress.
- Display public leaderboards.
- Sync eligible progress across devices.
- Provide optional Sign in with Apple.
- Analyze usage and improve the App.
- Diagnose errors, crashes, and performance problems.
- Protect the security and integrity of the App.
We do not sell your information, display third-party advertising, or use your information for cross-app advertising or tracking.
3. Public Leaderboards
Your display name and selected gameplay statistics may be visible to other users on the App’s leaderboards.
Public information may include your display name, rank, scores, accuracy, participation, streak, and best results.
Your email address, Apple identifier, device identifier, and individual map-pin guesses are not displayed publicly.
You can change your display name in the App’s Settings screen.
4. Sign in with Apple
Sign in with Apple is optional.
If you use it, Apple and Supabase process authentication information to create or restore your account. Information provided by Apple may be stored securely on your device and used to connect your gameplay progress across devices.
We do not use an Apple-provided email address for marketing.
5. Third-Party Services
We use the following service providers:
- Supabase for authentication, leaderboard data, and gameplay storage: Supabase Privacy Policy

- Sentry for crash reporting and performance diagnostics: Sentry Privacy Policy
- Mapbox for interactive maps and map content. When maps load, Mapbox may process information such as your IP address, device and SDK information, map requests, and de-identified usage telemetry. You can manage Mapbox telemetry through the attribution information control displayed on the map: Mapbox Privacy Policy
- Apple for Sign in with Apple and operating-system services: Apple Privacy Policy
These providers may process information in other countries. We require service providers that process App information to provide protections consistent with this policy and applicable law.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain leaderboard, gameplay, authentication, analytics, and diagnostic information only for as long as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, and improve the App.
Third-party services retain information according to the retention settings of our accounts and their applicable policies.
Uninstalling the App or signing out does not automatically delete information already stored on our servers.

Please include your current display name and mention whether you use Sign in with Apple so we can identify the correct records. We may request additional information where necessary to verify the request.
You may also contact us to object to certain processing or withdraw consent where applicable.
7. Data Security
We use reasonable technical safeguards to protect information. However, no electronic transmission or storage method is completely secure.
8. Children’s Privacy
The App is not specifically directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, contact us and we will take appropriate action.
9. Policy Updates
We may update this Privacy Policy when the App’s features or data practices change. Updates will be published on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
